Engine

Catalytic Converter
This part converts harmful gases into carbon dioxide and water vapor. They also reduce harmful nitrogen oxides.
Muffler
The muffler reduces the noise of the exhaust. As the explosions during the combustion process create a lot of noise, so mufflers are responsible for quieting the noise. Some mufflers use fiberglass packing which helps absorb the sound energy thus making the system quiet.
Exhaust Pipe
The exhaust pipe takes all the gases to the tail pipe, which finally funnels the gases out of the car. This pipe is made up of stainless steel to carry such hot gases for a long time.
